Lorenzo Lorenzo, Jr. is a Senior Attorney at Barakat + Bossa with nearly 15 years of experience representing clients in complex civil and commercial litigation. He advises businesses, professionals, financial institutions, investors, and property owners in high-stakes disputes, bringing a strategic and practical approach to matters from early case assessment and negotiation through trial.

Lorenzo’s commercial litigation experience includes breach of contract and fiduciary duty claims, fraud allegations, shareholder and derivative actions, conversion disputes, and claims arising under Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA). He has significant experience handling complex, business-critical disputes where the outcome can have substantial operational and financial consequences for the client.

He also has extensive experience representing architects, engineers, and other design professionals in construction-related litigation. His work has involved high-rise condominium projects and large-scale mixed-use developments incorporating residential, commercial, hospitality, and transit components. His construction practice encompasses design and construction defect claims, contractual disputes, payment matters, insurance issues, construction administration, the architectural standard of care, and Florida’s Chapter 558 pre-suit process.

Lorenzo’s practice further includes real estate, financial services, and insurance disputes. He has represented institutional clients and property owners in matters involving property rights, foreclosure-related disputes, policy interpretation, claims litigation, and other complex commercial issues.

Lorenzo earned his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida. He is admitted to practice in Florida and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
