Karina Requejo

Of Counsel

Karina Requejo concentrates her practice on complex employment‑based and corporate immigration matters, advising banks, financial institutions, and a broad range of domestic and foreign companies on workforce mobility, visa strategy, and regulatory compliance. Her experience includes guiding employers through the full spectrum of U.S. immigration processes, including H-1B, L-1, E-2, TN, and O-1 visas, as well as employment-based permanent residency matters, including Labor Certifications and EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, and EB-5 filings. She also has experience advising individuals and families on family-based immigration matters, including immigrant petitions and naturalization applications. In addition, she counsels employers on I-9 compliance, government audits, and evolving federal immigration requirements that impact corporate operations.

Before entering practice, Ms. Requejo received formal immigration training as a paralegal at an Am Law 100 firm, where she supported high‑volume corporate immigration matters for multinational clients. This early experience provided a strong technical foundation in employment‑based immigration and informs her ability to manage complex filings with precision and efficiency.

Ms. Requejo holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Psychology from Florida International University. She completed her J.D., magna cum laude, at St. Thomas University School of Law, where she served as Notes and Comments Editor of the St. Thomas University Law Review and was a two‑year recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship.

Mrs. Requejo is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Cuban American Bar Association.
