Elizabeth M. Arritola is pursuing a Juris Doctor degree at the University of Miami School of Law, with an expected graduation in May 2025. She holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree magna cum laude from Florida International University.
She is an active member of the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review and has been awarded the Dean’s Merit Scholarship. Additionally, Elizabeth is involved in various activities including the Trial Team, the Miami Law Student Ambassador program, and the Hispanic Law Student Association.
Elizabeth has gained valuable legal experience through internships at prestigious organizations. She served as a Legal Intern at The Eleanor R. and Judge A. Jay Cristol Bankruptcy Pro Bono Assistance Clinic, where she worked on cases in federal bankruptcy court and counselled clients. She also interned at the Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Florida, where she conducted legal research and assisted in trial preparations.
Prior to her legal studies, Elizabeth gained professional experience as a Tax Accounting Intern at Cherry Bekaert LLP, where she prepared tax forms and collaborated on projects. She also worked as a File Clerk at The Law Office of Jonathan Jonasz.
Outside of her academic pursuits, Elizabeth is dedicated to community service. She volunteered at St. Augustine Church and participated in a service trip to the Dominican Republic with BLUE Missions, where she helped build latrines in impoverished communities. Elizabeth is conversational in Spanish.
