Coral Gables, FL — July 27, 2026 — Barakat + Bossa is pleased to announce that Partner Jocelyne A. Macelloni has been appointed Vice Chair of The Florida Bar’s Business Litigation Board Certification Committee, effective July 1, 2026.
Macelloni became Board Certified in Business Litigation by The Florida Bar in 2022 and was appointed to serve on the Business Litigation Board Certification Committee in 2024. Her selection as Vice Chair reflects her continued commitment to professional leadership and to maintaining the standards associated with Board Certification.
The Business Litigation Board Certification Committee supports the administration and continued development of Florida’s certification process for business litigators. Its work includes evaluating applicants seeking certification and helping ensure that certified lawyers continue to demonstrate the knowledge, experience, ethics, and professionalism required in the field.

Board Certification is The Florida Bar’s highest level of evaluation of an attorney’s competency, experience, and professionalism in an approved area of law. Business Litigation certification requires substantial involvement in the practice area, extensive litigation experience, continuing legal education, peer review, and successful completion of a written examination. Approximately 4.9% of Florida attorneys are currently board certified across the Bar’s approved specialty areas.
As Vice Chair, Macelloni will help support the Committee’s work in administering and strengthening the Business Litigation certification process and upholding the professional standards associated with the credential.
