Miami, FL – November 19, 2025 – Barakat + Bossa is proud to announce a significant aviation litigation victory, successfully recovering an aircraft through court-authorized repossession after months of legal action to enforce payment for extensive maintenance services.
Following a final judgment for damages and foreclosure, the firm’s Aviation Practice Group executed a writ of replevin in coordination with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Department at Miami Executive Airport earlier this week. The decisive action ensured a highly favorable outcome for the client despite the defendant’s prolonged refusal to pay.
“Our team’s persistence and strategic approach delivered justice for our client and reaffirmed our commitment to protecting the rights of aviation businesses,” said Rich Richards, Partner at Barakat + Bossa. “This case underscores the importance of experienced counsel in navigating complex aviation disputes.”
This victory follows Barakat + Bossa’s strategic addition of a dedicated Aviation Practice Group in September, adding seasoned attorneys Rich Richards and Alejandra Muñiz Marcial to meet growing demand for aviation acquisitions, litigation, and repossession around the country and internationally.
