Kevin R. Shohat is an attorney in the firm’s Litigation + Dispute Resolution Practice Group, where he represents clients in complex civil and commercial disputes. He brings nearly a decade of litigation experience, with a background spanning both criminal prosecution and private civil practice.

Before entering private practice, Mr. Shohat served as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County, where he prosecuted matters in county, juvenile, and circuit courts. His experience as a prosecutor provided him with substantial courtroom exposure and strengthened his skills in case strategy, evidentiary analysis, witness examination, and trial preparation.

Mr. Shohat later transitioned to civil litigation, representing corporations, insurers, private entities, and individuals in a range of disputes. His experience includes commercial litigation, property-related matters, and general liability claims, and he has handled matters through various stages of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.

Mr. Shohat earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and his B.S. in Sociology from the University of Miami.
