Ms. Valeria Angelucci is a corporate attorney at Barakat + Bossa, where she uses her unique international background, her experience, her language skills, and creativity to assist domestic and foreign clients with their business in every phase: from inception, to working side-by-side with clients as they grow, to a sale, dissolution or exit. Valeria regularly advises clients on general corporate governance matters including structure formation transactions customized to the client’s specific needs; helps drafting and negotiating transaction and financing documents, and a variety of contracts. Valeria also ensures clients take informed decisions on a wide range of topics, including intellectual property issues,
employment or compliance issues, and helps identifying, addressing and preventing legal and business risks, or, in case of a dispute, she assists in the negotiation and settling.
Prior to joining the firm, Valeria worked as an attorney focusing on business law, acting as corporate counsel for a large multinational company with offices throughout the US and Central America, where she was advising on transactional, employment, and immigration issues, while gaining experience in civil litigation.
A native of Italy, Valeria is knowledgeable in both the American and European legal systems and was selected and granted a full scholarship to participate in the Dual Degree Program, resulting in Valeria earning a law degree from Roma Tre University, Italy, and a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University. While in law school in Italy, Valeria competed in the Jessup International Law Moot Court, while when at NSU, Valeria was selected and participated in all the oral advocacy honor organizations, was an editor of the Journal on International and Comparative Law, and was again selected for the Jessup International Law Moot Court (quarter finalist in the Chicago Regional Rounds). She was also awarded the Order of Barristers.
