SERENA FICHERA

Serena Fichera is an Associate Attorney with Barakat + Bossa, where she focuses on corporate and real estate matters. She is originally from Italy where she graduated with highest honors from Università degli Studi Roma Tre law school (“Roma Tre”). While studying at Roma Tre, she was selected and granted a full scholarship to participate in the Dual Degree Law Program between Roma Tre and Nova Southeastern University (NSU).

Ms. Fichera graduated summa cum laude from NSU with the highest GPA in the 2022 class, and she was recognized as “Most Outstanding 3L Student of the Year 2022” by Nova Law Review. While at Nova, she was awarded CALI Excellence for the Future Award in nine classes and earned the Dean’s list certificate for all semesters. Ms. Fichera was also a member of the Nova Law Review and worked as a research assistant. Given her deep interest in corporate law, she joined her law school’s main corporate law student organization.

Prior to joining the firm, Serena worked in the corporate and M&A departments of two major international law firms. She has experience with M&A transactions, preparation of contractual and corporate documents, and representation of clients in commercial and environmental, social, and governance (“ESG”) matters both in Italy and the United States. She is a member of the Florida Bar and fluent in Italian, English, and Spanish.
