Alberto Polimeni is an Italian and Florida attorney who collaborates with Barakat + Bossa as of Counsel. He is based in Rome where he counsels businesses and individual on how to operate in the U.S.A. Alberto’s previous experience at a National Business law firm, coupled with leadership within the Business law arena, creates a unique synergy between big law experience and tailored legal services. Alberto assists foreign entities and individuals in successfully establishing a business in the US, providing counseling in the area of corporate, business, employment law, and immigration. Born in Italy, Alberto’s experience of living and working in Rome, coupled with his native fluency in the Italian language, make him the perfect conduit to working with both international entities and Italian business owners, on matters that require a unique cultural sensibility and an understanding of the international business clientele.
Previously, Alberto has been a Partner at a National Business law firm where he was the Director of the Italian and International practice group and of the Immigration and Nationality group. Alberto focused on advising several businesses regarding corporate, transactional and immigration matters, both nationally and internationally.
In 2012, Alberto earned his law degree from Roma Tre University of Rome, Italy. He then went on to earn a Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center through a dual degree program between the two law schools. He was one out of three students to be awarded admission into the dual degree program, which provides a full scholarship to the recipients. While at Nova, Alberto was awarded the CALI Book Award in recognition of receiving the highest score in Trial Advocacy, as well as the Dean’s Certificate of Professionalism. He served as President of the Italian American Law Student Association and Co-President of the Association of Business Law Students. He also earned a spot on the Dean’s List and on The Order of Barristers, a national advocacy honor society.
Alberto is fluent in Italian, English, and Spanish. He is also conversational in French.
